I am absolutely thrilled to accept the appointment as International Ambassador for Chengdu Fashion Week by the Government of Chengdu for what I believe to be the world’s most exciting fashion week.

You all know London Fashion Week and the equivalent in Paris, Milan and New York but until you experience the explosive originality, detail and quality of innovative fashion pouring from the heart and soul of China’s fashion world, Chengdu, you are frankly, stuck in the past!

Of course, Chengdu is the home of the Giant Panda Bear but not everything there is black & white! Chengdu has leap-frogged Shanghai to become the Chinese centre of fashion and, apart from the Chengdu Fashion Week, the city also hosts the Chengdu Fashion Consumer Goods Creative Design Competition Award which attracts entrants from many countries and cultures thereby cementing Chengdu’s reputation as a global mixing pot of creativity in not just clothing and accessories but also textiles, interior design, furniture, art and design, fine jewellery and just about any other creative medium you can imagine.
